Join us for A Unique Mental Health Awareness Campaign!

For the second year in a row, NAMIWalks will be a little different — while making a lot of difference. It’s going to be “your way,” just like 2020’s phenomenally successful events — as we prove our resilience by stretching our limits anew and making the event our own.


In 2021, we are celebrating 19 years of NAMIWalks, the nation's largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising campaign. NAMI Maryland is proud to have been involved in NAMIWalks since the very beginning, and we hope you will join us this year for this incredible virtual campaign!


There are many ways you can make a difference via NAMIWalks: as a sponsor, team captain, team member, or an individual participant.  

However you participate in NAMIWalks, you will be joining NAMI's national movement!

Sponsorships Are Available


Your sponsorship will demonstrate to your employees and our community of more than 53,000 individuals, families, and organizations connected to us that you are committed to improving the lives of individuals with mental health conditions and their families.  In appreciation of your sponsorship, you will receive a video ad during our virtual programming, social media shout-outs throughout the campaign, a virtual sponsorship booth, inclusion on our official t-shirt, and so much more.  Click here for our sponsorship brochure!

What is NAMIWalks Your Way?

NAMIWalks is a completely virtually virtual experience, united with NAMIWalks across the country. Participants get to use their creativity, with the main rule that we continue to advance towards our goal by leaps and bounds. The choice is yours on how you want to be involved and eliminate stigma in our community.

NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland will culminate with a virtual showcase on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021!


Creativity Rules: What participants are doing for the campaign

  • Walking 7,000+ steps for a 5K their way
  • Planning a craft day with their kids 
  • Holding a virtual bake-off with their team   
  • Practicing self-care with a favorite hobby: yoga, gardening, knitting 
  • Doing a 5K on the treadmill or stationary bike 
  • Creating a safe and socially distanced stroll in their neighborhood  


Take photos and videos and share your activity on favorite social media with the link to your walk fundraising page and the hashtag #NotAlone and #CreativityConnects. Together we can make a difference for people affected by mental illness,
